Christoph Strasser starts accelerazing!

By | News, Top-News | No Comments

Christoph Strasser is constantly striving for improvements in cycling – especially in the mental area. He sees great potential in the acceleraze approach, as he has already worked with music in his races so far. Wouldn’t it be natural to apply mental techniques developed directly out of music? A major goal of Christoph in 2016 is the 24-hour world record on the track. In the eternal partnership of steep curves and straight lines, two factors are decisive: flow and precision in the line. This is the main focus of our collaboration and we are very pleased to be able to accompany Christoph with this task!

Acceleraze meets Christoph Strasser

By | News | No Comments

Through a joint acquaintance, Christoph Strasser (yes, the extreme cyclist!  www.christophstrasser.at) and Prof. Chia Chou met for a first chat. But they didn’t just talk;  Christoph Strasser immediately wanted to try out the first accelerazors, individual acceleraze techniques, on his indoor bike trainer. The first impression was very promising – a new collaboration is starting up.

The inner music of tennis

At the request of the President of the Styrian Tennis Association, we arranged a meeting with the head coach of the association at the end of November in Leibnitz. He was very open -minded, interested and seemed quite curious.

As a test candidate he had brought along a 15-year-old tennis player and I was to try out acceleraze on her. They started warming up on the court and as I watched, my optimism quickly disappeared: she was obviously a top player and the power and precision of her strokes were impressive. How in the world am I going to improve this player? After a quarter of an hour, the coach waved me to the court with the words “Mr. Chou, your turn.”

Interest of the tennis association

By | News | No Comments

In November 2015, I met the president of the Styrian Tennis Association who had already heard about acceleraze and had become very curious. She told me of a private dinner with Roger Federer years ago. Federer had apparently revealed to her that he had played the piano for many years and had incorporated a great deal of music technique into his game.

Of course he had not revealed any details, so she asked me if I understood and could explain Federer’s ideas. Until now, I had not considered tennis as an operating field for acceleraze but Federer’s comments fascinated me.

We had a first test with the junior team and were very excited afterwards!

Acceleraze has to prove itself

An early investor expressed interest in accerleraze but asked for proof that acceleraze actually works. He wanted an expert assessment and that is why I yesterday met Stefan Arvey, former Austrian triathlon champion and founder of train-perfect.at at the Sport University Graz. Read More

Mark and I had met at the Römerlauf 2015. A week later we decided to meet in Graz on the Murweg, a popular running/cycling path along the Mur river. We agreed to a test distance of 1 km.

The birth of acceleraze

By | News | No Comments

The idea for acceleraze came about quite by accident at the Römerlauf 2015 in Kaindorf near Leibnitz. An old friend called me and asked me if I would like to meet her at the Römerlauf that evening, as her new partner wanted to participate in the quarter marathon. “You can run as well if you like,” she said.
